The Comarch NFV product enables telecoms to step into the modern era of virtualization and build networks with software-based elements. It offers management of logical network functions independently of the hosting hardware and allows full stack modelling, management and provisioning of virtualized network elements, starting at the level of physical devices through virtual machines/containers and VNF instances, up to the specialized network components and network services.
Comarch OSS allows the design of end-to-end network topologies that combine legacy PNF components with modern VNFs. Instantiation of the network functions utilizes flexible templating, accelerating the time to market by reusing existing designs and functional blocks. With the use of Comarch orchestration features, the designs can be quickly implemented in the real network in a fully automatic, model-driven process.
Comarch’s NFV is standard-based and compliant with recognized providers such as ETSI, 3GPP and GSMA. The core component of the VNF management module is the Resource Catalogue capable of onboarding TOSCA-compliant descriptor files. In addition, the Software Image Management module stores the package and image information.
Comarch OSS NFV is offered to customers with a bidirectional integration package towards the NFVO. Supported API is based on SOL005 standard API by ETSI. Thanks to that, Comarch OSS is able to conduct automated network function provisioning tasks and deliver real-time network inventory experience to the end users by constantly monitoring the NFVO status.
