VoIP, a service registering growth in times of recession, is also available in Comarch’s offer
According to a report on the VoIP services market published by Infonetics Research, one of the largest analytical companies in the world, in the first half of 2009 global revenues from the sale of VoIP services amounted to 21 billion US dollars. In light of these facts it is significant that Comarch has a wide range of VoIP solutions in its portfolio.
In times of economic crisis, VoIP services are very popular among both individual consumers and businesses. Since the end of 2008 to June of 2009, the number of individual subscribers using VoIP technology has increased by 14%. Interesting trends can be observed among business customers.
- Solutions based on IP telephony is just another step in the development of telecommunications systems. The future belongs to “Unified Communication” solutions which allow for the integration of all possible channels of contact. UC-class solutions allow for example to receive a voice mail as an attachment to an e-mail, receive a landline call with a mobile phone, or by integration with messaging, generate instant information regarding where we are and what we are doing at any given moment. This will mean independence from the medium of communication, and a focus on content. Therefore, the market for IP telephony solutions awaits a bright future - says Michal Szybalski, Business Solution Sub-Center Manager of Network and Telecommunications Solutions, Comarch.
Companies are increasingly willing to experiment with a VoIP solution that is provided in a software as a service model (SaaS). Analysts predict that at the end of 2009, the sales revenues of operators with these services will increase by 26% compared with the same period last year. Solutions of this type will have a high demand especially among small and medium-sized businesses.
Comarch portfolio has a very wide range of VoIP solutions, and Call Center products. These solutions are also available in a service model (called "SaaS - Software as a Service"). More information on VoIP solutions offered by Comarch can be found at www.comarch.eu.
