Comarch with the title "The most important company for Poland"
Comarch became a laureate of "The Most Important Companies for Poland" ranking in the Capital Group category - private companies and financial institutions. The contest was organized by “Rzeczpospolita” daily.
The "Most Important Companies for Poland" ranking reflects important trends in contemporary business. The prize was awarded in three equal categories: capital group, individual enterprise, and family business. In addition, companies with over 100 years of tradition were honored. The financial results of companies for the years 2017–2019 were analyzed. The ranking includes companies selling products or semi-finished products for business, whose revenues in 2019 exceeded PLN 500 million. Exceptions are family businesses and 100-year-olds - here the entry threshold was PLN 120 million and there were no B2B requirements. As part of the project, awards were given in individual industries and for companies for special action during the Covid-19 epidemic. The final decision on the selection of winners belonged to the jury of the ranking.
In addition to economic indicators, the editors of Rzeczpospolita took into account the role that the company plays in social reality - from issues related to taxes, through the level and forms of employment, activities for local communities, to activities related to climate protection. The way the company operated during the coronavirus epidemic, resistance to market shocks, and activities for employees and society during this difficult period were also observed.
Among the winners of the ranking were also: KGHM, PKN Orlen, PGNiG, PGE, PZU, Grupa Azoty and Jeronimo Martins. The editors of “Rzeczpospolita” have prepared a video presenting the laureates of the ranking. The full list of the winners can be found here.
