Comarch Increases its Workforce
During the first three quarters of 2018, Comarch increased its workforce by 484 people, which is nearly nine per cent. As at the end of September 2018, the company employed 6 025 people, including 624 employees abroad. This higher headcount is related to the company's growth in Poland, the creation of foreign structures and the launch of new offices.
In Poland, the company employs mainly programmers, system engineers, analysts, consultants, trainers, and managers. At present, it is the largest employer among software manufacturers in the country. Each year, the company’s workforce is reinforced with trainees – IT students from all over Poland. This year, there are more than 400 trainees and nearly 80 per cent of them have entered into longer cooperation with Comarch.
Comarch increases its workforce due to new long-term contracts. Only this year, several major contracts have been signed, including, with Orange, LG U+, and the Polish social insurance institution (ZUS).
- We currently have around 400 job openings and we're recruiting experts from several different fields. Apart from experts in programming, we're looking for system engineers, quality engineers, analysts, and consultants. We also have offers for people with a background in marketing and business development, which is related to the company’s constant and dynamic growth, says Katarzyna Morga, HR Director at Comarch.
Comarch has branches in 16 Polish cities, as well as 45 abroad. Therefore, professionals wishing to be employed by Comarch, have an opportunity to choose their workplace. Sometimes, it requires relocation to another country in which a project is carried out.
- Comarch conducts business in more than 60 countries on six continents. Our employees are often seconded to our customers’ headquarters to oversee the implementation of a project. The stay abroad is a great opportunity to gain professional experience in an international environment, and to experience other cultures, adds Katarzyna Morga.
Young people often choose Comarch as their first employer. They apply to join the company because work there provides them with opportunities to grow and gain professional experience. Additionally, the employer offers flexible working hours and part-time jobs for students so that they can combine working and studying.
Although as an employer Comarch is associated mainly with programming profiles, more and more professionals joining its teams have a background in other fields, too.
- We're also looking for graduates in humanities, economics and the arts to join our teams, and for them we have projects at the crossroads between new technologies and related specialities. Comarch offers jobs for HR professionals, customer support employees, graphic designers and UX/UI designers, says Anna Bajorek, Head of Employer Branding at Comarch.
